Do You Love Yourself? It Could Help You to Recover from Burnout if You do

“You must want to spend the rest of your life with yourself first.”

I saw this quote earlier today and it made me think, we really must learn to love ourselves for all that we are, flaws and all, because at the end of the day we cannot get away from ourselves can we? So we might as well think nice things about ourselves then horrible ones. The negative thoughts are a total waste of energy.

And no one needs to know, if you’re shy, you don’t have to say the nice things about yourself to other people. I believe most of us were brought up in a society where talking about yourself in a good way was deemed as showing off, or being full of yourself. So if you have this shyness, just say it to yourself in your own head, or write it down in a diary.

Thinking it and believing it is the most important thing.

No one needs to know or see, but these positive thoughts will shine out from within you naturally and people will feel a powerful energy from you when they are with you. In other words, you won’t have to tell people how amazing you are, because they will know it just by being with you.

The journey begins with you. A huge part of loving yourself is looking after yourself. You can do this through the food that you feed yourself to the movement you do every day, from cutting out things in your life that don’t serve you to practicing calming rituals.
