1) Diet – Did you know that stress depletes nutrients from your body? Making conscious decisions about what you put in your mouth can have a huge impact on how you feel. By having a diet rich in whole foods you can feel more energised and focused.
2) Lifestyle – Where you spend your time and how you spend your time makes all the difference when you’re living a balanced life. The environment around you will either affect your life positively or negatively.
3) Movement – When you move your body throughout the day every day in a way that you enjoy you can vastly improve your health and productivity. Being consistent with this is key for emotional health too.
4) Stress management – You can have the best diet in the world, but if you are stressed, anxious or worried the nutrients from the food that you eat will not be absorbed and utilised well. Relaxation techniques must be prioritised.

Most burnout recovery coaches will advise you to take time off work, take up a meditation practice and exercise for an hour 3-4 times a week, and so on.
And that’s great advice, in an ideal world. But you’re too busy for that shit. I get it. You need a method that you can actually do, and stay doing week after week.
You need a routine that can slot into your busy day, enhancing your productivity rather than taking away from it.
Yes it would be lovely to have a stress free life, where the day flows perfectly, with a well organised day that always goes to plan. But that’s not how life works out, is it?
My approach to recovering from burnout and preventing it from happening again is simple – take it day by day and make conscious decisions always.
These decisions will either serve you, or they won’t, it’s up to you.
I believe that you can live a healthy, well balanced life without having to commit to any extremely time consuming tasks.
In fact, when you do small tasks consistently this is a more sustainable way to recover from burnout and prevent it from happening again.
